To fully implement the "Four Comprehensives" strategic layout, deeply carry out the Party Central Committee's strategy of accelerating the implementation of innovation-driven development, strengthen the leading role of scientific and technological innovation, summarize the progress and experience in the construction of the first batch of key laboratories and engineering research centers in the remelted metal industry recognized by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association's Remelted Metal Branch, sort out research achievements, and promote the integration of science and technology with the economy, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association's Remelted Metal Branch organized a work exchange meeting on the progress of the construction of key laboratories and engineering research centers in the national remelted metal industry, which was held in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province on July 3, 2015. Huang Shengbiao, Division Chief of the Resources and Environment Division of the Department of Social Development and Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Zuo Tieyong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of the Academic Committee of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association's Remelted Metal Branch, Wang Jiwei, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association's Remelted Metal Branch, Wang Jianhua, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jiangsu University of Technology, Zhou Quanfa, Vice President of Jiangsu University of Technology and Dean of the School of Remelted Metals of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry, as well as technical directors of the first batch of industry key laboratories and engineering research centers, members of the Academic Committee of the Remelted Metal Branch, and representatives from key enterprises, universities, and research institutions in the industry attended the meeting.

The main tasks of this meeting were to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the national science and technology system reform, summarize and sort out the progress, main scientific and technological achievements, and operational experience of the first batch of industry key laboratories and engineering research centers, arrange and deploy future work and tasks, and further promote the construction of industry-wide scientific and technological innovation platforms and the "13th Five-Year Plan" industry technological development. At the meeting, Academician Zuo Tieyong, Secretary-General Wang Jiwei, Secretary Wang Jianhua, and Dean Zhou Quanfa jointly awarded plaques and certificates to the first four key laboratories and five engineering research centers in the national remelted nonferrous metals industry. During the meeting, participants held heated discussions on hot topics such as the strategic thinking of the "13th Five-Year Plan" for remelted metal science and technology development, industry-university-research cooperation in the remelted metal industry, industry talent cultivation, and key position skill training. Led by our general manager, six people from our company attended the meeting, and our Deputy General Manager Guo gave a report on the construction progress, project achievements, and next steps of our company's "Remelted Brass Engineering Research Center".
