On the morning of December 15th, a field assessment team led by Ye Liguang, Deputy Director of the Ningbo Environmental Protection Bureau, arrived in Simen to evaluate the "Water Governance Initiative" and "Leading Action" for the year 2015 in Ningbo. As a representative of industrial and trade enterprises, the assessment team, consisting of five members, visited our company for an on-site evaluation. Vice Mayor Zheng Guichun, Town Party Secretary Xu Kanglin, and Deputy Town Mayor Du Haijun accompanied the team during the assessment, with Company General Manager Song Changhong providing full support throughout.
In order to actively utilize rainwater and conserve fresh water resources, our company constructed a rainwater harvesting and utilization system as early as 2004, and formulated incentive policies to encourage production departments to use rainwater to meet their water needs. Over the past decade, the company has developed a comprehensive water-saving system engineering that integrates four systems: rainwater harvesting and utilization, domestic sewage treatment and reuse, industrial wastewater treatment and reuse, and cooling water recycling. The facilities are well-equipped, and the water-saving results are significant.
The assessment team first listened to a presentation on the company's basic situation and the specific implementation of rainwater and sewage separation, water conservation, and water management efforts in recent years. Subsequently, the team conducted an on-site tour of our rainwater harvesting and utilization system, domestic sewage treatment and reuse system, industrial wastewater treatment and reuse system, and cooling water recycling system.
The assessment team highly praised the achievements of our company in water conservation and management. They attributed the strong water-saving awareness of this private enterprise primarily to the forward-thinking mindset of the company's leaders, as well as the effective, well-implemented, and notably successful water-saving management measures. At the same time, the assessment team also provided valuable suggestions for our company's work.
Finally, the company's general manager expressed heartfelt gratitude to the leaders of the assessment team for their care, support, and assistance. He stated that our company will continue to excel in water conservation and management efforts, contributing our own strength to the construction of a "sponge city".
